The higher the wavelength, the less energy the machine has. Increasing wavelengths have been paired with decreasing wattage per diode to maintain strength while keeping the power consumption and expense under control.
A combination of the mid-infrared (including 1980 nm and 2300 nm) and red wavelengths has been found to have superior results to other wavelengths alone for lipolysis. This is due to the fact that these wavelengths increase the water content within the cell, which increases the lipolysis effect. This can be achieved using a high-efficiency diode laser, a specially designed lens and an inline filter.
